Actively working for the planet
Since day one, we've always thought of ourselves as ambassadors for our planet. We just happen to also sell apparel as well. Every company decision we have made since launching in 2019 has asked one fundamental question "How will this decision impact the environment?" If the outcome is negative then we choose not to move forward with it. This can be vendors we work with, the fabrics we use in our apparel, or how we ship orders.
Through this continuous evaluation of our principles and decisions, it was inevitable that we would seek out membership with the nonprofit group 1% For The Planet.
About 1% for the Planet
Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, 1% for the Planet members have given more than $225 million to environmental nonprofits to date. Today, 1% for the Planet’s global network has more than 2,000 business members, an expanding core of individual members and thousands of nonprofit partners in more than 60 countries.
Why did we join 1% for the Planet
We joined 1% for the Planet because we believe...
- in taking responsibility and giving back to our planet
- that more than 3% of philanthropy should go to environmental causes
- the issues facing our planet are urgent
As a member, we are committing to donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to highly vetted environmental nonprofits.
